ProGen Search is a new executive recruitment firm focused on Pharmaceutical, Life Science, and Medical Device fields. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Byron was ready to launch his own business and needed a bold, modern website to match his vision. He chose my Website in a Week package, knowing it would deliver a custom WordPress Elementor build quickly while allowing enough flexibility to refine the design. Although we initially explored one design concept, open communication and feedback led us to a final layout that both Byron and I absolutely love.
Byron provided an abundance of insight into his brand—his 4P recruitment philosophy, a basic text logo in blue and white, and a thorough description of his aims and user base. Drawing from all this, I guided the website’s direction, ensuring every aspect reflected his brand's values and resonated with his target audience.
My first focus was to create a bold, modern, and clean website that stood out in the recruitment industry. Although Byron’s color palette was initially monochrome blue and white, I saw an opportunity to introduce AI-generated imagery to inject innovation and visual intrigue. Over 200 unique images were produced, spanning everything from abstract networking concepts to futuristic labs and medical devices—all tinted in a cohesive blue tone that complemented the brand’s palette.
A fun highlight of this collaboration was Byron’s 4P recruitment philosophy. While experimenting on my new iPad, I created various “P” shapes reminiscent of his existing logo, purely for fun. Byron ended up loving one of them so much that it’s now part of the brand identity. This exemplifies what I cherish about website design: remaining open to new ideas and embracing organic inspiration.
We did have a different design for the first few days, but continuous feedback and constructive dialogue led us to the final version, which, as Byron notes, met his “stickler for detail” mindset. This approach meant we refined until it truly represented his brand, while staying user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
Using WordPress Elementor, I built a fully responsive site that marries the striking AI visuals with a smooth user experience. To handle Byron’s vacancy listings and dynamic content, I integrated Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), making it simple for him to add or modify roles without touching the site’s structure. I also introduced unique CSS animations on the call-to-action buttons for a subtle yet polished touch.
Though the Website in a Week package ensures a fast turnaround, I took advantage of the extra buffer before Byron’s launch date to polish every detail. The final result is a WordPress website that reflects ProGen Search’s expertise, stands out from the competition, and provides visitors with a clear path to contact or request quotes. Byron left a glowing testimonial, stating how pleased he was with the partnership and the final build.
Overall, this project underscores my commitment to listening to client feedback, remaining open to creative discoveries (even accidental ones), and leveraging WordPress design best practices to deliver a modern, engaging website that genuinely captures the essence of a brand.
