PlumPresents is the creative sister site to The Plum Agency, a leading literary agency known for its passion for children's publishing. This new website showcases Plum’s original book concepts, beautifully illustrated and ready for publication. The team wanted a clean, minimal site that let the stories and artwork shine while offering a seamless way for publishers to explore their collection.
The team chose my Website in a Week service for its speed, collaborative process, and balance of creativity and practicality. While the design was intentionally pared-back, I introduced gentle scroll animations and hover effects to bring a subtle sense of movement...just enough to keep the site feeling alive without distracting from the books themselves.

Design
This project was all about restraint. The brief was clear: let the books do the talking. With that in mind, I created a clean, structured layout with generous white space and soft transitions. Each book is presented like a mini showcase, making it effortless for publishers and editors to browse the range.
Tiny touches of animation add delight without overwhelming the content. A soft hover effect reveals the book title, while smooth fade-ins on scroll give the site a refined sense of polish. The typography and colours were kept neutral and elegant, keeping all attention on the bright, playful book covers and engaging titles.
Development
Built using WordPress and Elementor, the website is designed to be effortlessly manageable by the Plum team. I used Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to structure the content, allowing the client to easily add, edit, or remove books without touching the design or layout. The backend is intuitive and tailored specifically for their content needs.
Books are grouped into clear, filterable categories making it easy for visitors to find what they’re looking for. The site is fully responsive, fast-loading, and SEO-ready, with the flexibility to grow as the Plum catalogue expands.
Despite the simplicity of the design, the build included plenty of thoughtful touches behind the scenes to ensure the website remains easy to update, beautiful to explore, and aligned with the creative quality that Plum is known for.
